Breaded zucchini with sweet chilli sauce

Frying in breadcrumbs makes the foods more delicious. Fried zucchini with sweet chilli sauce is a real delicacy. Our family is a huge fan of fried zucchini sticks, everybody loves dipping the zucchini fries in sweet chilli sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium zucchinis
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoon flour
  • 4 tablespoons cornmeal
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • sweet chilli sauceInstructions
  1. Cut the washed courgette in half lengthwise and remove the seeds, if the zucchini is fresh, you don't need to remove the seeds. Cut them into 1-2 cm/ 0.5 inch diameter long sticks. Season it with salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare three plates for breading: put in first plate the flour, in the second mix the eggs with a little salt and in the third plate pour the breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each zucchini sticks in the flour, then shake off the excess. Next, run the sticks through the egg to coat it lightly and hold it over the liquid to let any excess fall back into the bowl. Finally, lay the zucchini in the breadcrumb and turn it over.
  4. Preheat the olive oil in a pan, when it's hot, put the breaded sticks in the oil and fry both sides to 3-4 minutes until are gold brown.
  5. Serve the zucchini sticks on a plate with sweet chilli sauce dip.
