Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast fillet (500 g)
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g grated cheese
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F. Grease an oven proof dish with 1 tablespoon of oil.
  2. Wash the chicken breast fillets, then wipe them. Rub both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder and grated nutmeg.
  3. Beat the eggs in a deep plate with a pinch of salt. Cut the washed zucchini into 1 inch thin slices. If the zucchini is large and not fresh, cut the seeds and pulp out of it. Season the slices with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Grate the cheese and sprinkle the bottom of the greased dish with a tablespoon of cheese.
  5. Dip the chicken breast fillets in the egg, then place it in the dish, put the fillets tight next to each other. Sprinkle the chicken with a tablespoon of cheese.
  6. Combine the remaining egg with the cream and pour on the chicken breasts. Place the zucchini slice in the cream and finally top the dish with the rest of the cheese.
  7. Place the dish in the oven and bake it on 180°C/360°F for 45 minutes. When the cheese is golden brown, remove from oven. Serve it warm with rice, but is filling dinner by itself as well.
